The Story Behind The Nemalux Logo: Our Brand History

Everyone likes a good story. Did you know our logo has a technical background?

The Nemalux logo is derived from universal and mathematic patterns used in many scientific and engineering disciplines. Generally, this pattern is related to electromagnetic phenomena, including the phenomenon of light. It can be considered a hyperbolic or Euclidian pattern. The pattern in many ways represents the Nemalux history and experience in wireless SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), Electrical Engineering, Electronics, and Physics.

The Nemalux logo is a rendering of a phenomenon called the Doppler Shift. In brief, if an observer moves toward a light at high speed, the light appears to change colour to a shorter (bluer) wavelength. The Doppler Shift is also observed when a vehicle sounding a siren or horn approaches, passes and recedes from an observer. Compared to the emitted frequency, the received frequency is higher during the approach, identical at the instant of passing by, and lower during the recession.

The Nemalux logo is also similar to a Smith Chart, a graphical aid designed for electrical and electronics engineers specializing in radio frequency (RF). Also, the Nemalux logo, which includes arcs of a circle whose ends are perpendicular to the disk’s boundary, is modeled after the Poincaré disk model in hyperbolic geometry, which are intrinsic parts of the universal patterns.

As with our logo, we at Nemalux continually strive to develop state-of-the-art LED lights based on sound scientific principles. We are passionate about building expertise in every aspect of our company. Our story continues to grow.
