Nemalux – Dallas, Texas Region

Located in Richardson, Texas

A suburb of Dallas represented by Brady Waters

Nemalux is represented in the Southern US and portions of the Gulf Coast by Brady Waters, a dynamic automation company located in Richardson, Texas, with offices in nearby Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas.

Brady Waters’ footprint within Texas and across the Southern states allows Nemalux to reach into a vast market of end users. With a GDP of 1.9 trillion USD, Texas is the 2nd largest economy in the US and 9th largest economy in the worldTexas, Louisiana and Oklahoma are home to some of the US’s largest petroleum producers and petrochemical refining plants, which are prime users of Nemalux hazardous location lighting products and services.

Energy is the leading industry in this region, with Texas accounting for 28% of the US refining capacity, with millions of linear feet of refinery walkways and platforms requiring hazardous location lighting. Brady Waters’ territories include two states of the Gulf Coast, where petroleum, LNG, petrochemical refining and offshore drilling dominate, Texas and Louisiana Texas leads the nation in both petroleum and natural gas production and Houston is the petrochemical refining capital of the world. Nearby Lake Charles, Port Arthur, Corpus Christi are each major petrochemical refining hubs, the Permian Basin is a hotbed of petroleum and NGL and the Gulf Coast of Mexico is a hub of offshore drilling. Ever the opportunists, Texans are hedging their bet with climate change by developing one of the nations largest renewable energy sectors.  At 27 Gigawatts of wind energy, Texas now produces 25% of the US wind energy capacity, and is the world’s fifth largest wind generator.

Nemalux offers drilling operators, pipeline operators, and petrochemical refineries class I div 1 LED lighting products, explosion-proof LED lighting products, and class I div 2 LED lighting products for upstream Oil & Gas and downstream petrochemical applications. While not as well known as other industrial lighting brands, Nemalux can cross to almost any major brand and offer many competitive advantages. Nemalux’s new generation of LED luminaires such as the MR makes use of secondary optics to allow for the configuration of a large number of optical beam patterns. This allows clients the ability to purchase one hazardous location LED luminaire model that can be configured for countless applications, and solves the purchaser’s headache of purchasing multiple luminaire models, each for a separate lighting application.  Nemalux’s EXC series is one of the industry’s lowest profile explosion-proof Class I Div 1 (Zone 1) LED luminaires, making it possible to mount in space-constrained applications. The GS DC series of linear hazardous location luminaires allow mounting in  Class I Div 2 panels. XCANLED has been used to replace HPS lamps found in many O+G remote lighting operations and ZLM, with up to 100,000 lumens per quad unit has been used to provide area lighting for nighttime operation.

Along with many different mounting options and flexible pole mounts, Nemalux LED luminaires could dramatically reduce the number of lights required to illuminate kilometers of walkways, platforms, and stairs in petrochemical plantup to 30% compared to typical competitor products. This adds up to significant cost savings.

With potentially thousands of luminaires on one site, labor costs to maintain luminaires can quickly add up. When versatile Nemalux LED luminaires are used along with Nemalux’s flexible and innovative range of pole mounts,  this can dramatically reduce expensive maintenance time to change luminaires. Finally, Nemalux includes complimentary lighting design for any site, which can save on expensive lighting design. Taken together, Nemalux offers an unbeatable package.

The Gulf Coast is also home to a significant maritime and shipping industry. The 52 miles and 200 private companies that comprise the Port of Houston make it the US leader in foreign waterborne tonnage. The 54 miles that stretch along the Mississippi River make the Port of South Louisiana the largest port district in the Western Hemisphere. The Port of New Orleans is Louisiana’s only deepwater international ports, and the Port of Corpus Christi is the 3rd largest in the US by tonnage. Louisiana is ranked first for states with the highest domestic maritime economic impacts. The maritime industry is a prime target market for Nemalux marine grade luminaires.

The Gulf Coast is also a major intermodal hub with railways stretching from Canada and across the US terminating here in Gulf Coast portsThe transportation industry, both marine, and rail provide many use cases for Nemalux industrial lighting products. Rail, pipeline, and marine transport systems all intersect at intermodal Oil & Gas terminals dotted along the coast of Texas and Louisiana as the product is shipped from terrestrial to marine systems. Nemalux has provided many solutions to intermodal operators over the years. For marine applications, we provide marine-grade lighting solutions that are certified to ABS lighting and UL 1598A marine standards for terminal and offshore drilling applications. These rugged LED luminaires are triple coated to provide superior protection in corrosive marine environments such as ports, marinas, docks, offshore rigs, terminals, and ships. Nemalux’s GS linear models are one of the only linear LED luminaires to be certified to the ABS standard. A number of large railways tunnel lighting projects have made use of Nemalux luminaires, leveraging both Nemalux luminaires combination of price competitiveness, long life, high lumens, compactness, and hazardous location certifications to light kilometers of tunnels. Nemalux offers custom solutions for transportation applications as well, such as custom signal lighting for the City of Calgary public transit’ “Transit Priority” program
