Nemalux Industry Match

Agriculture and Food Processing

Nemalux offers the AR, an NSF-certified luminaire that is designed to excel in the harsh food processing environment. The AR is rated IP66/67 and its industrially designed package is shaped to prevent biofouling. With the the high color rendering index, it allows food quality and safety inspectors to see true colors. Nemalux luminaires are all available with hazardous location ratings for application in explosive dust environments such as grain silos. For more information, visit our food processing application page.

General Manufacturing

Nemalux offers lighting solutions for the factory, whether it is high bay general lighting or focused task lighting. The Nemalux AR is used for both indoor high bay applications or for outdoor area lighting of large work yards. The MR is a direct replacement for legacy 75-150 W HID lamps. It is also an excellent luminaire for plant walkways, catwalks, platforms, and staircases. For night shift work, Nemalux luminaires are available in the blue spectrum of light to help keep workers alert. Nemalux realizes that many medium-sized companies do not have their own lighting design engineering department. For this reason, Nemalux offers its no-obligation, complementary lighting layouts to plant operators who need accurate information to make their next lighting upgrade decision, a service worth thousands of dollars.

Marine and shipping

Marine applications require lighting equipment that can withstand harsh aqueous and atmospheric saltwater corrosion. Nemalux marine-grade luminaires have the same rugged industrial design as other units, but carry additional corrosion protection specifically for the marine environment.  Nemalux luminaires are compliant with the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) standard and are approved for use in the most demanding exterior lighting marine environments including docks, marine vessels, offshore drilling rigs, platforms and other marine applications. Triple coated powder coating, along with stainless steel mounting hardware help it to resist marine corrosion while advanced optics provide the highest quality illumination. The GS AC and GS DC are unique luminaires for marine applications. A unique watertight linear LED luminaire that has the unusual rating of IP68, IP69 and ABS. Extremely durable and water-tight, the GS Series of fixtures are able to withstand the most demanding environments. The GS was designed as a hazardous location, lightweight linear strip luminaire with a projected lifespan of 100,000 hours. It can be mounted in marine and underwater applications that competitors cannot match. It is uniquely suited for providing uniform lighting for offshore platforms and walkways, docks and shipping vessels, as well as underwater submerged applications. The AR and MR are also marine rated and can be used for high bay and low bay applications onboard ships and at shipping terminals.

The construction industry is consistently rated as one of the most hazardous industries in the world. It alone accounts for 19% of accidents across all industries in the U.S. Danger lurks around every corner on a construction site. By its very nature, construction sites are a high occupation health risk environment. To construct a new building or infrastructure requires the use of large, medium and small scale material processing tools that can pose a threat to life and limb – everything from high speed cutting blades, to high temperature flames, to heavy equipment for moving heavy objects, etc.

Nemalux provides a number of construction lighting solutions to mitigate a variety of unsafe construction lighting conditions. Luminaires are all low power LED for energy savings with lifetime ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 hours. Most luminaires are available with a variety of certifications form Dark Sky to hazardous location. All are designed with a minimum of IP66 ingress protection, durable polycarbonate lens, wide operating temperature range and triple layer coating for corrosion resistance.

Low bay lighting

The MR and XR are well suited for temporary low bay lighting systems that requires approximately 10K lumens. Equipped with secondary optics that can be configured for a wide range of optical profiles, a variety of mounting brackets and additional pole mounting styles, they can be easily set up for almost any temporary lighting scenario. They are ideal for lighting walkways, staircases, platforms and catwalks on a construction site. With complimentary lighting layout from Nemalux, selection of the proper optical profile can minimize fixture count, illuminating a walkway with up to 30% fewer luminaires than competitors.

High bay lighting

The AR confers the same benefits as the MR and XR but is a high bay model outputting up to 50K lumens so can be used alone or ganged together using pole mount brackets to flood a wide area of the construction site for good night time visibility.

Light Stringer

The Nemalux LS series Light Stringer is a modular, portable lighting system that allows construction site workers to easily connect a string of luminaires together using approved electric cords to light a long section on a worksite. Spaced 8 feet apart, they meet OSHA lighting requirements. Cords can be replaced onsite, extending the lifetime of the product when the cable is worn. IP66 and IP67 rated, it is also available in hazardous location model. It is ideal for rapidly setting up temporary lighting for a work scenario on a construction site. With up 1550 lumens/module and up to 30 modules on a stringer and CRI of 80+, it is a very versatile temporary construction lighting system.

Military & Aerospace

Military operations often have need for the most robust and durable technologies, including lighting technologies. Nemalux luminaires have been used in wind tunnel testing facilities and on rocket launchpads where harsh and extreme temperatures close to rocket engines persist. Nemalux is also well equipped for boutique, custom designs for demanding military and aerospace applications that require luminaires that meet very unique specifications. We welcome customer inquiries for luminaires that operate in the most extreme and demanding environments and our designers can also perform spectrum engineering if your scientific, technological or engineering application requires very specific wavelengths and intensity levels.
