Part of Nemalux's process is to conduct detailed lighting designs to ensure safety as well as reduce environmental impact before selecting and installing luminaires. Our in-house lighting designers began this project by recreating the worksite utilizing AGi32 and DIALux Evo lighting design software.
Conducting photometric measurements allows us to compute illuminance for a location, adjust the luminaire placement, and aim lighting to determine the most appropriate lighting solutions.

Mario's recommended lighting package specified:
- LED color temperature is set to 3,000 Kelvin
- Fixtures are compliant with Dark Sky standards
- Housing is designed for harsh environments
- Optics are shaped to reduce light trespass
- Mounting hardware is pre-assembled.
The solution pointed to the MR Series luminaire as the best fit for this project. Nemalux luminaires promote longevity using industrial LED lighting technology. They're safe and promise a maintenance-friendly life for years to come.

Built in 1953, the Trans Mountain Pipeline is a major Canadian infrastructure project. For decades, it has carried energy products from Alberta to Burnaby, BC. To support the growing demand for energy, an expansion started in 2019. Such complex infrastructure projects need a multi-year design commitment.
